Below you will see a basic outline that is adjustable to your needs. I always encourage my clients to “choose their own juice adventure” as needed. You may choose to drink more than the suggested amount of juices or less, and I am happy to adjust the juice formula choices to best fit your needs. There will be a small price adjustment for added or substituted juices. I look forward to chatting more with you about the Green Heart Juice Feast!
In the fall-early Spring, Juice Feasters will drink 3 – 16-ounce juices per day, 1 large Hot Honey (drink like you would hot tea), and 3-6 cups of broth (this will depend on hunger level and/or need for more sustenance). In addition, you will consume a quart of warm lemon water first thing in the morning, regular filtered water, “bullet style” coffee/tea (only if you are currently a coffee or tea drinker), and as much warm tea as you like each day. You may also decide to incorporate a kombucha during these days as well!
The basic schedule is:
AM: Start your day with 24-32 ounces of warm, filtered lemon water (you can add a teaspoon of local honey is the plain lemon makes you cringe) and bullet style coffee or tea (more info down below) if you choose. The fat in the coconut oil and butter/ghee AND broth allows your body to assimilate up to 40% more of the nutrients and anti-inflammatory properties from the veggie juices! You may also choose only to add full fat, organic coconut milk (Native Forest is the only PBA free can I have found and can be found at food matters).Morning-Lunch: Cup of broth and 1-2 cups Hot Honey
Late morning-early afternoon: both juices (it is important to drink the cooler veg based juices during the peak warmth of the day)
Late Afternoon: bone broth & Hot Honey
PM: Juice #3 Pom Bomb *the citrus is a nice way to feel like you’re having something sweet, but also is an appetite suppressant* Hot Honey, & Broth. ***You may ALSO choose to have a light meal of hearty winter soup. Think, lentils, squash, or veggie soups***
*remaining bone broth
Before bed, a cup of Hot Honey or warm tea can be nice to end the day with.
*Jalapeno can be added to any of your juices for an added kick and metabolism boost!
Do you have any specific health concerns or goals you are trying to achieve? Do you currently drink juice on a regular basis?
Exercise during this time: keep it light and easy. A slow walk in the woods or gentle yoga is ideal. No long or intense runs, bike rides or super strenuous work.
Note: starting 1-2 days before your Feast, work to limit your alcohol, sugar, and animal proteins/fat intake. This will begin to give your liver a break, preparing for the work it is about to do during your Juice Feast. Same thing on the back end of the 3-days. Slowly ease back into these things. Starting with steamed veggies, eggs, and fish protein. Limit alcohol and sugar for 5-7 days if possible.
