Today we move into equinox: the fall equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and spring equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. The equinoxes are the only time when both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere experience roughly equal amounts of daytime and nighttime. This time of balance is a great reminder to reflect, rest, and practice some self care.
Take some time to be still and appreciate where you are now. Allow for excitement around the brilliant change of colors that nature has to offer, and prepare for a gradual slowing down as we transition into winter.
Celebrate and give thanks!
One of the main purposes for having a fall equinox celebration centuries ago was to give thanks to the gods for the bountiful harvest of the current year.
Nourish your body with warming, seasonal foods including root vegetables and nutrient-rich bone broths.
